Sundaybird Brings Golden Rotisserie Chicken to Lakewood

Lakewood’s new Sundaybird is firing up a 48-chicken rotisserie and rewriting Cleveland’s comfort food script. Cozy, crispy, and just in time.
Lakewood’s food scene just got a new main character: Sundaybird, a fast-casual spot dedicated to the holy grail of comfort—rotisserie chicken. Set to open in mid-November, this Madison Avenue newcomer is the brainchild of local favorites Tim and Erin Frazee (of Birdietown) and chef Andrew Gorski (Edacious), and it’s got Clevelanders salivating in anticipation.
A Spot Where Chicken Is Center Stage
Step inside Sundaybird and you’ll find a glass-fronted rotisserie rolling out 48 birds at a time—seriously, all day golden-brown glory. The space, revamped with custom finishes by Cleveland’s own Shred and Co., offers seating for about 20, making it equal parts cozy hangout and chicken temple.
What’s On the Menu (Besides Birdwatching)
Here, it’s all about the rotisserie:
- Quarter (white or dark), half, or whole chicken
- Sides: Yukon gold potatoes (bathed in chicken drippings!), mac and cheese, collard greens, rice, cold cucumber salad, and soft rolls
- Pulled chicken sandwich for the sandwich devout Down the line, chef Gorski is cooking up plans for mini pot pies, classic chicken soup, and even bone broth to keep you warm come Cleveland winter.
Drinks for Every Mood
Sundaybird keeps things easy:
- Teas and soft drinks
- Self-serve beer: Cans and bottles, grab and go style Whether you’re hydrating or celebrating, they’ve got your midday feast covered.
Why Lakewood Is Buzzing
The folks behind Sundaybird know their way around a successful concept (Birdietown has its own cult following), and they’re all about bringing chef-driven, quality comfort to Cleveland. With a state-of-the-art rotisserie as the anchor, expect an experience that’s high on flavor, low on fuss, and designed for locals.
