Hello business owners in Chagrin Falls
You are being invited to participate in some really fun community events. Taste CLE has been doing community crawls in some of the hot spots around Cleveland. We launched bar crawls in Downtown Willoughby, Chagrin Falls, Pinecrest and Crocker Park.
Retailers are invited as well.
Allow me to explain how these work and what it takes to be involved.
- Each location provides a sample to match the theme of the event.
- Buy In is $50 (This money is added to Taste CLE money for paid social ads and ads on various CLE publications like Destination Cleveland, Cleveland Scene, Cleveland.com and Im From Cleveland.
- Locations are paid out a set rate per sample. This changes somewhat based on event. These numbers are below.
- Each location is required to post once per week leading up to the event starting 4 weeks out. Post will include a picture of your margarita and the creative we make for the event. Please loop in your social media person with our team and we can get them all the info and help with the posts.
- These are community events and they work the best when we all work together and support one another.
- RETAILERS !!!!! You are invited too. All you need to do is come up with a coupon/deal and it will be added to the passport. This will entice guests to pay you a visit. Maybe 20% Off a single item. Maybe buy one get one half off.
Each location has an item that will be sampled and that sample matches the theme of the event. And yes, you are paid for these samples. You are also encouraged to offer a food special for the event so you can upsell guests as they come in. Great way to generate extra revenue. This should be a small special as people aren’t sitting down for awhile. They are on the move sampling from all the great places in the area. You don’t collect money for the samples. At the end of the event, our team walks around and pays all locations based on ticket sales and how many people came out to sample. Keeps lines moving fast and efficient. Guests will have a passport and all you need to do is mark off their sample when you give them one so they don’t double dip. That’s it. Very simple.
Two things come from this
1. You make money sampling out items to guests
2. We drive in new business from all over the Cleveland area and many folks will either stay after the event for dinner and/or come back at a later date to try out your menu. It’s all about branding and growing the community.
Here is the information and signup form for the rest of 2025. We will send 2026 form at the start of the new year. Simply pick the events you’d like to be involved in. We’d love to have you in them all. It only means more money for you and more people through your door 🙂
September 6th, 2025 – Wine Walk
The Ultimate Wine Tasting with White & Red Wines
- Each location will offer a white and red wine. We work with all the distributors in Ohio and will work with each location to select the bottles. You may also have some wines you are already featuring and we can use those as well. Your wholesale cost on these wines should be around $7 to $8 wholesale. There are tons of non grocery store wines that are great as well as post off wines.
- 2oz Sample and guests will have a souvenir glass you can pour in.
- Payout is $1.50 per sample as you get 12 pours per bottle. Works out to $18 per bottle used and smaller samples.
October 25th, 2025 – Halloween Costume & Cocktail Crawl
Everyone gets dressed up and winner gets $300 in Gift Cards from our Participating Locations
- Each location comes up with a fun spooky cocktail for the event
- 5oz Sample and we provide the sample cups
- Payout is $1.75
December 6th, 2025 – Ugly Sweater Christmas Ale Crawl
The most wild and Ugliest XMAS Sweaters all come out and winner gets $300 in Gift Cards from our Participating Locations
- Each location serves an XMAS ale and wine option. Guests can pick which one they want
- Sample cups will be supplied
- Payout is $1.75
